What happened at the Nubian Village in Sharm el Sheikh?

Darren and Tracy Finch travelled to the Nubian Village in Egypt to celebrate their 25 years of marriage. However, the dream holiday quickly began to turn into a nightmare as they witnessed the poor hygiene standards and extensive building work at the hotel.

Soon after arrival, they found that the hotel swimming pool was lined with brown slime and water from a local well was passed off as bottle water.

After just a couple of days they both began suffering symptoms of sickness and diarrhoea which lasted throughout the holiday and on their return home. Soon after landing back in the UK the couple visited a doctor who confirmed that they had been affected by a parasite during their holiday. Their illness was so severe that Darren Finch lost almost 2 and half stone in weight.

Successful Compensation Claim for Illness at Nubian Village, Sharm El Sheikh

After receiving no response on complaining to their tour operator First Choice, Darren Finch, 50, and Tracy Finch, 47, contacted our holiday illness claims team to pursue a claim for compensation.
