When Nicola Wallace and her family travelled to the BQ Delfin Azul in Majorca, they were looking forward to a week of sunshine and relaxation in the four star surroundings of  Thomsons BQ Delfin Azulin in Alcudia.

Unfortunately for the family of 8, over half of their party were stuck down by an outbreak of illness within days of their arrival and left bedridden with sickness, diarrhoea and stomach cramps.

There is a sickness and diarrhoea bug at the hotel. I could hear people in the room next door being sick and someone was even sick at the reception.

I didnt once see the hotel check on the chlorine levels in the pool. Someone kindly had an accident in the pool and to my surprise it was just scooped out.

Representatives from tour operator Thomson were also witnessed filling in lots of sickness forms as droves of further holidaymakers came forward to report falling ill.
