What happened at the Holiday Village Algarve?
Mr and Mrs Middleton had travelled to the First Choice hotel in May 2014 for their first family holiday with their 3 young children.
Yet just days into their stay, family members began to fall ill suffering symptoms of gastric illness. Both their baby daughter Emily and Mr Middleton spent days confined to their room due to illness.
This left Mrs Middleton spending the majority of the holiday attending to their care and looking after their two sons.
Mrs Middleton said of the holiday:
The first two days of our holiday were fine, the remaining five were a nightmare.
When we came back to the UK, I was taken ill and our baby girl was still extremely poorly.
The fact there were so many people ill within the hotel indicates that something went very wrong.
After returning home to the UK, Mrs Middleton took Emily to see their local GP after her condition failed to improve.
