What happened at the Stil Victoria Playa?
The Buckle family, from Kendal, travelled to Stil Victoria Playa, Menorca in June 2014 to celebrate the 50th birthday of grandad Keith Buckle.
Yet soon after their arrival, a sickness bug left the entire party suffering illness.
Outbreaks of sickness plagued holidaymakers at Stil Victoria Playa throughout the summer of 2014, with the MailOnline reporting that up to 80 guests had been affected by widespread illness.
Holidaymaker Keith Buckle told our holiday claims experts how several holidaymakers could be seen vomiting throughout the day at the hotels communal areas and around the swimming pool.
Mr Buckle and his family also noticed worrying standards of hygiene at the resort restaurant where food was often left uncovered, open to contamination and rarely served at the correct temperature.
The first member of the Buckle family to fall ill was Mr Buckles one-year-old granddaughter, who began to experience symptoms of food poisoning just 2 days into their holiday.
Throughout their stay, a further 6 members of the Buckle family became unwell.
