£6,240 compensation victory for familys Egyptian holiday hell

Thanks to the legal experts at Holiday Illness Claims, a family from Reading have successfully recovered £6,240 in a settlement with tour operator EasyJet after gastric illness ruined their stay at the four-star Sea Garden Resort, Egypt.

Carys and Simon Grange jetted off to Sharm el Sheikh in late October 2014 with their two boys Samuel and Benjamin, hoping to enjoy a fun-filled family holiday at the magnificent Sea Garden Resort.

Unfortunately, the Grange family were left feeling anything but magnificent as serious gastric illness took hold.

Mother Carys was the first to succumb to illness a mere three days into their 10-day stay. Speaking to the experts at Holiday Illness Claims, Carys vividly recalls being struck by agonising stomach cramps followed by sickness and diarrhoea that was to last for the remainder of the holiday.

Father Simon was next to suffer, followed by sons Samuel and Benjamin in quick succession. The family was to suffer so severely from illness symptoms that each member required medical attention at the resort.

Carys is clear that poor hygiene on behalf of the Sea Garden Resort was the cause of her familys suffering. She states that the food was seriously below standard: it was often served lukewarm and it became obvious that they reused leftover food from one meal to the next.

Flies were allowed to swarm over the reheated foods and there was even a cat roaming the bar and a la carte restaurant area, Carys continues.

At the close of their ruined holiday, the Grange family returned home exhausted with parents Carys and Simon continuing to suffer from repeat illness symptoms. Astoundingly, the stricken couple were to continue to experience repeat outbreaks of illness for almost 4 months, only returning to their pre-holiday state of health in mid-January 2015.
