Be Live Collection Marien slammed by previous visitors over illness and hygiene problems

  • Numerous online reports expose the Dominican resorts suspected poor standards
  • Further reports reveal holidaymakers have suffered from food poisoning during their stay
  • Some former guests also claim to have been hospitalized as a result of their illness

HolidayIllnessClaims travel law team have recently received unfortunate information transpiring from the Be Live Collection Marien resort, which suggests that many holidays are being ruined by illness and poor hygiene.

Multiple recently returning holidaymakers have vented their anger on the website TripAdvisor, to warn others of the problems that have currently faced the resort.

One holidaymaker who travelled to the resort for what was supposed to be a memorable occasion with their partner, revealed how they both suffered from food poisoning during their stay.

She disclosed:

We both had food poisoning starting on day three. Ruined the rest of the holiday. We spoke with 3 other couples who had the same experience with two ending up in a local hospital. We spoke with staff and they were less than accommodating.

We are seasoned travellers and have stayed at the Al’s many, many times without a minute of illness. Believe this was waterborne. Strongly consider another property!

Furthermore, it appears that more special moments have been ruined by illness at this hotel as another distressed holidaymaker who also recently travelled with her partner posted:

Yep, I got really sick. I am pretty sure I picked something up from the food at the snack bar. I ended up with a bacterial infection serious enough to require overnight hospitalization complete with IV hydration and drugs. And, unfortunately, this occurred on our actual anniversary.

Comments from our holiday illness specialist

Well first of all, I would like to offer our sympathies to all those who have been affected by the illness issues at the Be Live collection Marien as we are all well aware of just how distressing it is to have a holiday ruined by sickness.

The reports of food poisoning are obviously worrying, and it appears as though guests are adamant that the hotel standards are to blame.

Because of this, I sincerely hope that the hotel management and tour operator carry out a full investigation into these reports, and snuff out the possibility of any near future outbreaks at the hotel.
