Airing their frustration on the website TripAdvisor, one disgruntled holidaymaker revealed:

[I] booked a week all-inclusive and spent all of it in bed with over half the hotel! Hotel was noisy only half the staff were friendly and our complaints were just palmed off!

Thomas cook did not handle this well. I would have thought over 30 people coming down with the same thing at the same time would send alarm bells ringing, maybe shut the place and stop more people suffering but no! Was told its just a bug going around and nothing they could do.

Hotel told me I wasnt sick even after being on a drip in hospital!!! Would warn anyone of staying here unless you want a trip to the hospital and a ruined holiday!

In addition to his, unfortunately it appears that another holidaymaker encountered similar problems during their stay as they commented:

There is no getting away from it, unfortunately there was an illness outbreak at this hotel whilst we were there.

Nowhere near enough was done to alleviate guests concerns about the cause, the hotel pretty much denied there was a problem even though ambulances were turning up very often taking guests to the hospital for emergency care.

To be honest the experience has left a sour taste in the mouth and in a way it’s put off revisiting turkey in the future.
