Suspected Illness outbreak at the Maramaris Palace, Turkey

Our team of holiday illness experts have been contacted for advice by a family after they fell ill at the Marmaris Palace.

The Hotel Marmaris Palace, also known as the Grand Yazici Club Marmaris Palace, is promoted by Thomas Cook. The hotel is a 4 star all-inclusive and enjoys a beachfront location and features two swimming pools, four restaurants and three bars.

The family reported that there were a number of other families who had also been affected by illness whilst staying at this hotel in July 2014.

Although the illness and cause of, is yet to be confirmed, we have been advised that many children have been or remain hospitalised.

Tracy Stansfield, an experienced solicitor at Holiday Illness Claims said: It is extremely worrying to hear about holidays being ruined by illness contracted at the hotel.

I would hope the tour operator, Thomas Cook, carries out a full investigation in to the complaints made by holidaymakers.

I would urge anyone that is staying at the Marmaris Palace in Turkey to be extra vigilant, and to seek medical advice without delay if they or any member of their family show any signs of illness.
