Reports of food poisoning at the Dar Khayam Hotel

A British holidaymaker has recently contacted our holiday illness claims team after falling ill on holiday in Tunisia.

The holidaymaker had stayed at the Dar Khayam Hotel in Hammamet when their Tunisian getaway was ruined by illness.

The Thomas Cook promoted hotel was the subject of numerous reports of illness throughout the summer months of 2014. During this time, we were instructed by holidaymakers who suffered symptoms of gastroenteritis caused by food poisoning at the Dar Khayam Hotel.

In recent weeks, holidaymakers have commented on TripAdvisor, describing the poor standards of food and hygiene at the Dar Khayam Hotel.

One holidaymaker commented, Food is dropped on floors and picked back up and put back out for us to eat.

Others have reported being affected by food poisoning during their stays. A recent visitor stated that food was absolutely disgusting and cockroaches were found in the restaurants.
