Food poisoning outbreaks ruin holidays at the Holiday Village Algarve

British holidaymakers are reporting being affected by an outbreak of food poisoning at the Holiday Village Algarve.

Numerous visitors to the hotel feel that they have been let down by the standards of food and hygiene at the First Choice hotel.

Holidaymakers have commented on TripAdvisor on their returns to the UK after family holidays were ruined by illness.

One holidaymaker from Stonehaven commented: We stayed at the Holiday Village Algarve Balaia for a week at the end of May.

Myself and my husband travelled with our children aged 9, 7 and 8 months old.

First impressions were good, however after the second day we all started getting ill.

Four of us suffered severe sickness and a tummy upset. My husband and baby were affected the most. My baby continue to be poorly once we returned home and I had to take her to the doctors for tests.

Another hotel guest from Cornwall reported contracting food poisoning during their stay. They added that several other people at the hotel were also affected by the illness.
