To be fair, it is difficult to know what the cause was, and it could be multifactorial. But the fact that the three youngest of our group (who stuck to cooked mundane foods) didn’t get sick, suggests something about either food prep, serving utensils spreading bugs, water being used to wash salads/fruit, etc..

Furthermore, unfortunately this holidaymaker was not the only one to recently suffer from illness at the Royalton Riviera Cancun as another dismayed poster revealed:

The buffet offers plenty of choices. However, the occasional observation of tongs on both cooked and raw meat is a concern.
