Low hygiene standards at Cubas IBEROSTAR Daiquiri?

  • Poor hygienic practices such as cross contamination exposed by holidaymakers
  • Claims that this lack of hygiene has led to an outbreak of illness at the resort
  • You may be eligible to make a claim for compensation if you have suffered an illness on holiday which lasted for at least seven days!

It has recently been suggested that the Thomas Cook promoted IBEROSTAR Daiquiri is riddled with gastric illness issues.

Multiple frustrated former guests of the four star hotel have conveyed their post-holiday thoughts on TripAdvisor, with many complaining over the recent hygiene and illness problems at the resort.

One of these holidaymakers who stayed at the IBEROSTAR Daiquiri in August 2017, posted:

Stayed here for 2 weeks with [my] hubby and never again!

I had [sickness] for the whole 2 weeks, maybe it was the ice in the drinks or the cross contamination in the restaurant e.g. cheese being picked up with the same utensils as raw meat, this was apparent in every dining venue.

Overall [I was] very disappointed with hotel.

Furthermore, unfortunately this recent visitor of the Cuban resort has not been the only one to fall ill during their stay, as another former guest claimed:

Been to Cuba 4 times [and] this is the worst hotel we have stayed in.

We stayed in a superior room, what a disgrace [as] it was full of mould and dirtâ?¦The towels were old, ripped and smelt disgusting.

The food is disgusting cross contamination at food stations and we had diarrhoea for 4 days.
People writing good reviews on this hotel don’t know what they are talking about my advice is don’t waste your money on this hotel.

Our Head of Travel Laws thoughts

It is very worrying to learn about the recent news which has emerged from the IBEROSTAR Daiquiri in Cuba.

Tour Operators have a responsibility of making sure these situations do not occur in the all-inclusive resorts they promote, and unfortunately it appears that in this particular situation this duty has not been fulfilled.

If youve fallen victim to illness whilst on holiday then get in touch with the experts here at HolidayIllnessClaims today to reveal whether or not we can help you secure justice.
