Are sickness outbreaks continuing to affect the Stil Victoria Playa in Menorca?

Our holiday illness claims team is concerned by the ongoing reports of illness at the Stil Victoria Playa in Menorca.

We are continuing to receive enquires from British holidaymakers who have suffered from sickness during their stay at the hotel, many of whom have required hospital treatment.

Since we first reported on outbreaks of illness at the Stil Victoria in late July 2014, hotel guests have continued to comment on TripAdvisor as holidaymakers discuss the outbreaks of sickness bugs. One visitor to the hotel took the drastic decision to transfer to another hotel after stating that the food was shocking at the Stil Victoria Playa.

Head of Travel Law, Anne Thomson, commented on the ongoing outbreak: The majority of outbreaks of sickness bugs within all-inclusive hotels are often caused by poor food or hygiene standards.

In this case, many holidaymakers have cited serious issues with the levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel.

It is vitally important that the hotel management and tour operators conduct a full investigation into the current food and hygiene standards at the Stil Victoria Playa, to protect the health of all guests at the hotel.

If anyone has suffered a holiday illness at the Stil Victoria Playa, I would urge them to contact myself or a member of the team as soon as possible. We are always on hand to offer advice on all aspects of the claims process.
