Family holidays ruined by sickness bugs at the Delfin Azul Hotel in Majorca

Our holiday illness claims team are currently receiving enquiries from British holidaymakers who have fallen ill on holiday at the Delfin Azul Hotel in Majorca.

Large numbers of recent guests have reported contracting sickness bugs during their stay. However, many stated that on complaining to their tour operator, Thomson, they were informed that they were unaware of any outbreaks of illness.

One holidaymaker commented on TripAdvisor: After six days at the hotel we started with the stomach bug.

Seven out of eleven of us got it and one of us got it twice. We reported the sickness to the Thomson rep to be told that they were not aware of the sickness bug at that hotel.

We were meant to have our room deep cleaned, but that didnt happen either.

Another visitor stated: Our family holiday was ruined by all four of us contracting the now infamous sickness bug during our stay.

Id say that three days of our seven day holiday were severally impacted by at least one or more of us feeling extremely unwell.

Thomson surely have a responsibility for the care of their customers. There were so many people ill with the bug, the source of which I believe still remains a mystery.

Thomson, please find alternative accommodation for people until this problem is resolved. No-one deserves to have their expensive holidays ruined by something that should be controllable.

Many appear to be suffering symptoms including sickness and diarrhoea during their stays, although the cause of the illness is as yet unclear.
