Distressed recent guests of the IBEROSTAR Ensenachos turn to HolidayIllnessClaims

  • Holidaymakers continue to succumb to illness at the five-star resort
  • Afflicted guests suffer from symptoms of diarrhoea, vomiting and intense stomach cramps
  • The food hygiene of the IBEROSTAR Ensenachos is also heavily criticised online

HolidayIllnessClaims are aware of further illness issues at 5-star Cuban resort the IBEROSTAR Ensenachos, following an enquiry from a recent guest of the Thomson promoted hotel.

Detailing their familys experience on TripAdvisor, the dismayed British holidaymaker revealed:

If you can find a clean table you are lucky, there are flies and cockroaches all over the food and this is inside the main buffet. Cross contamination is normal with utensils used for the raw and then cooked meats.

The pool bar has flies and lots of birds flying onto the tables and landing on the food, vomit on the floor and left for some time. The staff are useless and make no attempt to maintain standards and keep the birds away.

All 4 of us were ill at some stage of the stay with sickness, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, nausea, headaches and so on, our one son lost just over a stone in weight!!

This isn’t down to the heat or excessive drinking but due to the appalling hygiene standards.

In addition to this, worryingly our team discovered reviews left by further recent guest of the IBEROSTAR Ensenachos who have also fallen ill during their visit.

One holidaymaker who travelled to the Cuban hotel with their partner in June 2017 commented:

Food? Where do I start? On-going to the buffet for the 1st time [I] was dismayed there was no hand cleanser at the door? And found the buffet food was at best slightly warm and mostly cold. The butter was rancid and the warmest food was the salad!

After two days of suffering the food my wife Sue went down with stomach troubles and after 4 days having to rush her to an outside clinicâ?¦ after consulting a doctor [she was] put on antibiotics.

Our expert solicitors thoughts

I can confirm that HolidayIllnessClaims are assisting a family in receiving holiday illness compensation, after the ordeal they endured whilst staying at the IBEROSTAR Ensenachos in Cuba.

We were aware of serious illness issues at this resort nearly a couple of months ago, and to learn that illness is still ongoing at the IBEROSTAR Ensenachos is totally unacceptable.

It is important to remember for anyone who has been unfortunately enough to suffer illness on holiday, that if your illness lasted for at least 7 days you too could be entitled to make a claim for compensation. Speak to our friendly expert travel law team today to find out if you are eligible to make a claim.
