During their stay at the Egyptian hotel last month, both holidaymakers started to develop distressing gastric illness symptoms which ultimately gave them a significantly lower chance of enjoying what shouldve been a memorable, special occasion.

The couples problems grew worse as the holiday continued, which meant they werent able to go on the excursions that they had previously planned and paid for prior to when their illness struck.

When the pair landed back in the U.K, they were still suffering from the sickness so therefore decided to visit their local GP, who confirmed that the symptoms they had been forced to suffer were a result of an illness they contracted whilst on holiday.

When recollecting what could have been a possible cause of the illness that spoiled their honeymoon, the couple revealed that cooked meats on the hotel buffet were being left uncovered for prolonged times, and that the hotel buffet was open to bird and insect contamination.

Worryingly, these reports come less than a year after the last time the HolidayIllnessClaims team were notified of illness issues at this hotel.
