Gastric illness outbreak at Aparthotel Playa Mar

A British family appeared in the national press just this week alleging to have fallen severely ill at the resort with their young son hospitalised on their return to the UK.

Other stricken guests have taken to hotel review site TripAdvisor to express their concerns regarding food handling practices.

One Birmingham holidaymaker bluntly labels food served at the resort a major health hazard waiting to happen. If this were in the UK they would have been shut-down immediately.

They add that food was stone cold and raw and further claim that none of the cold foods were changed and were just put back out the next day and/or topped up.
