Concerns raised over food hygiene at the ClubHotel Riu Bambu

According to reports, gastric illness has recently been rife at the Dominican ClubHotel Riu Bambu resort.

Guests who have been affected by the illness outbreak have taken to the website TripAdvisor to portray their emotions, such as one July 2017 visitor who posted:

I went with my husband and two teenage boys 18 & 16. ALL OF US got ill within the first 4 days of our two week all-inclusive break. Terrible tummy cramps [and] diarrhoea.

Pools were [disgusting]. Not cleaned well. Last day my eldest boy got food poisoning and was throwing up violently all night and next day.

All four of us are still suffering tummy cramps and diarrhoea. Although we are all taking Imodium tablets and rehydration drinks. To be honest, Im glad to get out of the hotel”.

Furthermore, unfortunately another recent guest of the Dominican resort has also made claims that their holiday was ruined by sickness, as they revealed:

Whats awful is you’d think you go to the Dominican Republic and you’d get some food. WRONG!! The food was undercooked and pink and hard. We had to personally ask the chef to cook us some food.

The food did make us slightly sick combined with the water in the Ole restaurant that tasted like pure unfiltered tap water.
