Recently returned holidaymakers have taken to hotel review site TripAdvisor to air their concerns after falling sick on holiday at the five-star H10 Rubicon Palace in Playa Blanca.

One distressed former guest of the Lanzarote hotel commented:

We were both ill while we were there, Im sure it was the food.

The food always seemed to be coldâ?¦the meat was like shoe leather.

First night had fish in restaurant. Up all night both of us violently ill and sickness. Next day had to stay in room and was wiped out.

Ongoing building work has also angered recent hotel visitors with dust and chippings flying around said to have resulted in dirty tables and cutlery.
