Sickness continues to sweep through the Hotel Riu Touareg

  • Numerous British holidaymakers claim to have been struck by sickness at the five star resort
  • Those affected suffer from symptoms of severe diarrhoea and sickness
  • Poor hygiene in the hotel restaurant highlighted as a possible cause by some

The legal specialists at HolidayIllnessClaims have been notified of recent issues at the Hotel Riu Touareg, where multiple holidaymakers continue to claim that illness has ruined their stays.

Many of those to have been affected have taken to website TripAdvisor, to disclose the details of their ill-stricken holidays.

In a startling review, one disgruntled poster who visited the resort in October 2017 with their partner revealed:

I became very unwell with an acute infection on the third day of the holiday. The Doctor at the resort is very unprofessional and was more concerned about showing the Nurse her new iPhone rather than listen to my health needs.

The Doctor also informed me to take my medications incorrectly – telling me to take Paracetamol at 7:00, 18:00 and 23:00.

On returning to the UK and visiting A&E, [I learned that] the Doctor at the resort had diagnosed me totally wrong and prescribed me [with] the wrong medications.

Furthermore additional guests have also raised concerns over an illness outbreak at the Hotel Riu Touareg, including one holidaymaker who disclosed:

My wife and I stayed adults only in October. There was a gastro bug going around and most people I spoke to had felt unwell at some point.

With many people checking in and out every day it is clearly difficult to eradicate. The staff in the restaurants were immaculately dressed and busy, but I felt the sanitising of contact areas was ad hoc.

I never saw any bar area sanitised during our stay and it wasn’t compulsory to use hand gel [when] entering the buffet restaurants.
