Guests warn beware after staying at the Riu Varadero

Holidaymakers have complained on TripAdvisor of falling ill after staying at the Riu Varadero in Cuba.
The Riu Varadero is a 4 star all-inclusive hotel promoted by First Choice. The hotel features seven restaurants, three swimming pools and a Spa.
Holidaymakers are unhappy with the standards of hygiene at this hotel and have commented on the food served stating it is poor at best and is recycled throughout the day.
One visitor commented I constantly noticed cross contamination. Staff members at the hotel were seen re-using water bottles and guests also commented the filtered water smelled like the ocean and at times tasted funny.
Unfortunately one guest reported that her 6 year old son contracted food poisoning at the hotel and required medical treatment.”
