Grand Bahia Principe Coba reportedly riddled with illness
Distressed holidaymaker turns to us for expert legal advice
Concerns raised online by recent guests of the resort over its poor hygiene
Hand, foot and mouth disease also claimed to be rife along with gastric illness outbreak
The HIC team are in the process of legally assisting a recent guest of the Grand Bahia Principe Coba, after they contacted us for help in making a claim for compensation against their tour operator.
The afflicted holidaymaker told us that their family of 4 all contracted gastric illness during their stay at the Mexican complex, which ultimately gave them no chance of enjoying their hard earned break.
They claimed that the lack of pool hygiene was to blame for their familys suffering, and further reviews of the hotel on website TripAdvisor suggest that food hygiene is also an issue at the hotel.
In a review titled Wow, avoid at all costs, a British holidaymaker who travelled to the Grand Bahia Principe Coba with his partner commented:
There was a smell of sewage around the Pisces snack bar. Food made me very ill. I witnessed the chef at show table in Mikado add more raw chicken to the grill as he hadn’t cooked enough then two seconds later use the same utensils place cooked veg on my plate.
I spoke to people who were also ill and when I reported to Thomson rep someone before me in the line was also complaining about being ill. I was advised to drink plenty of water, take pain killers and that it could be the salad?
Please avoid and stay elsewhere.
In addition to this, another recent holidaymaker also too to TripAdvisor to voice their concerns, as they claimed:
They need more staff on the floor watching for spoons that drop and to make sure trays that are empty are getting replaced. There was a lot of cross contamination.
People just don’t care. I saw kids putting bacon on their plates and using their fingers to throw pieces back into the tray.
Our expert opinion
Right now we are helping holidaymakers receive justice for their ruined holidays via holiday illness compensation.
We were made aware of illness at this hotel earlier this year, so it appears that there isnt enough being done by the hotel management and tour operator to prevent these unacceptable outbreaks.
If your package holiday has been ruined by illness within the last three years, then I advise that you speak to the team here at HolidayIllnessClaims and receive the justice you deserve.
