According to online reports, it appears holidaymakers are falling victim to illness at the Paradisus Princesa del Mar in Varadero, Cuba.

Frustrated recent guests of the Thomson promoted resort have made comments about their stays on the website TripAdvisor, and in one of these reviews a July 2017 visitor of the five-star hotel disclosed:

“This hotel has problems with hygiene.

At the buffet restaurant, the forks and spoons and the plates were often a little bit dirty. We got sick there.

Worryingly, it appears that further recent guests of the Paradisus Princesa del Mar have also succumbed to illness, as another holidaymaker revealed that they were unimpressed and disappointed“with their visit, before adding:

The food was awful. Hygiene poor. Tables wiped down with no disinfectant. Hence [why] we were ill two days in.

We won’t be returning to Cuba or recommend it.

We liked the entertainment but [we] had to go back to our room as [we were] too ill to watch in full.

Only all-inclusive holiday we have ever been on where [we] came home weighing less than when we went!!
