Sickness strikes Pestana Cayo Coco holidaymakers

In recent weeks, reports of ruined Cuban holidays at the Thomas Cook promoted Pestana Cayo Coco hotel have been mounting on review site TripAdvisor with one guest stating that her son was hospitalised in resort due to severe sickness.

The concerned parent, who claims to also be a travel agent, blasts standards at the hotel, labelling some of the food on offer not even edible.

Another recent guest agrees that hygiene standards left a lot to be desired, describing the food on offer as frequently cold, and the resort unsanitary after being left without water for a number of days.

They add that they, along with a number of other guests, suffered from really bad diarrhoea on a number of occasions during their late December 2016 stay.

In yet another alarming report, one holidaymaker even claims to have found human faeces at the snack bar.
